About Us

Phoenix Aero Club (formerly the NSW Police Aero Club) has been a premier flight school in Sydney since 1977. Our roots trace back to Hoxton Park Airport until its closure on December 15, 2008, after which we relocated to Camden Airport. In April 2011, we acquired the Liverpool Flying School, further solidifying our commitment to excellence in flight training.

We hold a CASA CASR Part 141 Flight Training Certificate, offering comprehensive flight training programs for recreational, private, and commercial pilots. Our team of experienced instructors have included industry veterans such as John Naughton, Keith Robey MBE, and the late Senja Robey. Following our tradition of excellence, Ben Holloway now leads as our Head of Operations and Chief Flight Instructor, bringing extensive expertise in flight training for both private and commercial purposes.

At Phoenix Aero Club, we offer top-notch flight training in Sydney, tailored to meet the needs of aspiring pilots at every level. Whether you’re pursuing your dreams of becoming a pilot or seeking aircraft hire services, we’re dedicated to helping you soar to new heights. Join us and experience the thrill of flight with one of the most reputable flying schools in Sydney.
